Some Other Place is a collaborative project that works with found images and documents. Through various acts of appropriation and collage making, becomes an exploration of narratives and the tension it creates between the dichotomy of fact and fiction. The 2 subjects of the project are entirely fictional, bearing no true identity and no physical body. The diary-like approach the Artists take up for this project touch on the cooperative link between memory and life, with stories ranging from personal experiences to entirely fabricated encounters. However, the stories possess scenarios that are strangely familiar yet ambiguously distant, thus highlighting the power of stories with the association of self. Video interviews, old documents and family photos are used to give life and retell a biographical tale of 2 people who do not exist. Welcome to the life of Max and Lucile.
